Global Fund to end Childhood Hunger and Poverty

Who We Are

About us

Global Fund to end Childhood Hunger and Poverty is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to ending childhood hunger and poverty by working creatively and collaboratively to partner with civic leaders, faith-based organizations, teachers, students, and families to provide programs, services, and resources to children in underserved communities in Rhode Island, Jamaica and other parts of the world.

Our Core Belief

We strongly believe that food is a basic human right and there is no excuse for children going to bed hungry and waking up hungry. At the root of this suffering is poverty which has worsened since the COVID-19 pandemic. We believe that through dedication and a strong commitment to equity we can end cycles of generational hunger and poverty.

Leading with kindness and compassion, the individuals in our organization are committed to fighting for social and economic justice for poor and underserved children. Our work is driven by faith and a deep desire to create a world where children are able to be happy, healthy, and thriving.

Our Mission and Vision

Our Mission is to end Childhood Hunger and Poverty by creating multiple and accessible pathways whereby children are happy, healthy, and thriving.  We strive to work diligently, collaboratively, and creatively to ensure that every child, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, ethnic background, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, or geographic region has the right to food that is nutritious, healthy, and accessible.

Purpose

Our Purpose is to intentionally and strategically create partnerships, secure funding, and deliver goods, programs, and services to poor and vulnerable children
